InMoov Bill Of Materials [BOM]
BOM for the robot build.
This list is work in progress and maybe incomplete.
I have included web links for all the items on the list but they are only suggested places.
It really pays to search out the best pricing on many of these items - in particular the SERVOS.
For example, I have bought the Hitec servos from several different suppliers and the prices have varied a lot, depending on availability. Check the model variation with the EZ-B hardware - shop around as you can get slightly older models much cheaper. Also look for the kits that are often on sale.
Also check out the official InMoov BOM here: http://inmoov.fr/default-hardware-map/
I am not affiliated to any supplier and do not benefit from them. These are only suggestions!
Download here: BOM_Download and note that the download may be more up to date.

Hello
ReplyDeleteI buidling the InMoov too but yours is awesome with EZ-B Parts. Can you tell me how much EZ-B´s i needed?

Hello Bernd
DeleteI have used two EZB controllers. My InMoov has the same number of servos are Gaels original and he lists them on his site. I do not have an exact list of quantities of all the parts I have used as the project just evolved. I just bought the parts on my BOM and added more as I needed them. Originally I controlled it with Arduinos and MRL software but found that too unreliable [its much improved now]. I can send you a copy of the EZB software file that controls my InMoov if you would like it? Send me your email address and I email it back to you. Kyle
Hello
DeleteMany Thanks, Yes send me please the EZB File.

I'm so happy to see you are using the EZ-B! I'm currently printing out my InMoov, and was thinking of using the EZ-B, but wasn't sure if it had the processing power needed?
ReplyDeleteI'm -very- interested in your EZB file as well, if possible!
kaptainkcg@gmail.com
Thanks!
Hello, just sent you a copy, Kyle
DeleteI am also trying to use EZ-B now. The parts are already in the printing process. I think EZ-B is very suitable for InMoov. Can you share me your program if it is convenient?

thank you very much. Forgive me for my bad English.
hi what are the advantages of using the ez-b over the arduino?
ReplyDeleteHello, its really a personal preference. When I tried out the Arduino and MRL [my robot lab] it was early in its development and I had a lot of reliability issues, plus their was little documentation. Things have really improved with the MRL so download it and try out the software. I must have another go at it myself. The EZB system is a fully commercial approach and very well documented and supported. It just worked out of the box for me. The software is free so again try it out and compare it with MRL.
DeleteThe arduino approach is much cheaper than buying the EZB hardware. I think that the MRL can do pretty much most things that the MRL can so its up to you. Of course there are other ways to control the arduinos as well. Very open source.
Hi I would like to have your copy of EZB software please,
